Carara National Park is home to the only scarlet macaw habitat in the Central Pacific. The opportunity to see the scarlet macaw and shooting is guaranteed in all our travels.

The park is home to animals; Howler and white-faced monkeys, spiny iguana tail, lizards, toucans, agoutis, (rabbit united), peccaries (wild boar related), coatis (linked raccoon), white bats, colorful butterflies, and a variety of over 400 species bird found more than 10,000 acres of forest. The park also includes many types of plants and trees including Strangler figs, wild cashew, Guanacaste, Cecropia, Heliconia, Royal Palms, Sura and Jablio to name a few.
